Frequently Asked Questions
-
How many driving lessons you should have depends on a few factors, including your level of experience, your comfort level behind the wheel, and your budget.
If you're under 25, you’ll need to complete 120 log book hours. This can often be achieved with the help of family members and friends who have their unrestricted license. However, lessons from a professional driving instructor can ensure that you’re setting yourself up for success on test-day and beyond!
We find that a minimum of 3 lessons is generally required, to ensure that we have adequate time to teach you the life-saving, safe-driving skills and prepare you for test day.
-
There’s no set rules that say you have to have professional driving lessons before you go for your P’s. However, these lessons can help you develop hazard awareness and road-safety skills that are not always taught by friends and family members.
Some people choose to start their learning-to-drive journey with professional lessons, helping them establish great driving habits from the beginning. Others opt to have driving lessons closer to the time that they are ready to go for their P’s, to ensure they have refined all the necessary skills to pass their test. -
To supervise and teach a learner driver, you must hold a current full Australian driver licence.
Both the teacher and a learner driver can be fined if the supervisor does not have a full Australian licence.
As a professional driving school, you’ll benefit from the advanced driving skills that Cath has obtained from completing both Advanced Driving and Defensive Driving courses.
